The performance of the domestically produced high-pressure cleaning machine plunger pump has been comprehensively upgraded.
Recently, several domestic companies specializing in core components for cleaning equipment have released a new generation of high-pressure cleaning machine-specific plunger pumps. These pumps have undergone specialized optimization for three main scenarios: commercial car washing, industrial rust removal and scale removal, and municipal road cleaning. They address common industry issues such as traditional plunger pumps leaking easily, being intolerant of high temperatures, and having a short continuous working lifespan. These innovations help improve the overall quality and reduce costs of domestic high-pressure cleaning machines, driving the high-quality development of the cleaning equipment industry.
The high-pressure plunger pump is the core component of high-pressure cleaning machines, directly determining the water pressure output, cleaning efficiency, and overall lifespan of the equipment. Compared to ordinary centrifugal pumps, plunger pumps have higher pressure and more stable water output. They are currently the standard components for commercial and industrial high-pressure cleaning equipment. In the past, low-end plunger pumps on the market often suffered from issues such as rapid wear of sealing components, significant pressure loss under high-pressure conditions, and frequent failures during summer high-temperature operations. Additionally, high-end, large-flow cleaning plunger pumps have long relied on imports, increasing the overall cost of equipment procurement and maintenance.
The newly launched domestic model of the cleaning machine’s piston pump features targeted optimizations to the pump’s body structure and material composition. The pump head employs a forging brass one-piece molding process, significantly enhancing its pressure-resistant sealing capabilities. Combined with ceramic pistons and imported composite seals, its wear resistance is improved by 40%, enabling it to withstand high-temperature hot water cleaning conditions up to 60°C. The product is available in both household and commercial versions, with rated pressures ranging from 15MPa to 30MPa, catering to various applications such as car washing at retail stores, equipment cleaning at construction sites, pipe cleaning, and removing adhesives from bridges. Additionally, the new product has optimized its internal oil circuit structure, resulting in a 10-decibel reduction in overall machine noise and a 7% decrease in energy consumption, aligning with the requirements for green and energy-efficient development of cleaning equipment.
According to data from the China General Machinery Industry Association, by 2025, the domestic market size for high-pressure cleaning equipment will exceed 18 billion yuan. With the widespread adoption of municipal sanitation mechanization, the automation of factory cleaning processes, and the expansion of the automotive aftermarket, annual sales of high-pressure cleaning machines have continued to rise, accompanied by a corresponding increase in demand for accompanying plunger pumps. Currently, the market share of domestic mid-range cleaning plunger pumps has surpassed 85%, but there is still significant potential for the replacement of long-lasting heavy-duty industrial plunger pumps.
Industry insiders believe that the competition in the field of cleaning equipment is gradually shifting from price competition for complete machines to a focus on the quality of core components. In the future, high-pressure cleaning machines’ plunger pumps will undergo upgrades in terms of lightweight design, maintenance-free operation, and intelligent pressure regulation, thereby addressing the shortcomings of domestic heavy-duty cleaning pumps. As the self-sufficiency of core components improves, the overall competitiveness of domestic high-pressure cleaning equipment will continue to rise, further enabling it to capture a larger share of the domestic and international cleaning equipment market.
