It turns out that cleaning can be so artistic. Kärcher has taken environmental protection to a new level!

Artist Klaus Dauven uses a high pressure washer as a paintbrush to create giant reverse graffiti works around the world.

The scenery around the Lapobode Dam is so beautiful. When reverse graffiti artist Klaus Dauven came to the Lapobode Dam, his creative inspiration was instantly ignited. He said: "Standing on the dam, watching the enthusiastic tourists and all kinds of thrilling adventures in the air, I thought of the fluttering butterflies. Butterflies symbolize the lightness and freedom of life, and can inject more vitality into the originally dull walls. Later, I learned that the white-striped butterfly is an endangered species here, which further strengthened my creative direction. I hope to use the dancing butterfly totem to call on all walks of life to pay more attention to ecological protection.

Driven by inspiration, Klaus Dauven once again joined hands with Kärcher, and with the full support of the Saxony-Anhalt Dam Management Bureau, used high pressure cleaning technology to clean the algae, lichens, mosses and other organic dirt on the surface of the dam. Through the contrast between the cleaned and uncleaned parts, a lifelike reverse graffiti painting "Flying Butterflies" covering an area of 40,000 square meters was stunningly created, adding a unique artistic style to this beautiful scenic area.

In order to reproduce Klaus Dauven's design 100% on the dam wall, the surveying company first digitized the painting and used laser technology to accurately project it onto the dam wall. Then, the cleaning experts slowly slid down from the 100-meter-high dam top under the protection of safety ropes and marked more than 1,100 organic clay points on the dam wall to ensure that every detail of the painting can be perfectly presented.

After marking the points, the Kärcher team used a high pressure washer to connect the points according to the creative principles of "digital oil painting", outlining butterfly patterns of various shapes and sizes, and then concentrated on cleaning large areas of dirt, finally completing this special work.

It is worth mentioning that in line with the concept of environmental protection and sustainable development, the water and electricity used in the creation of this reverse graffiti painting were all taken from the reservoir; and thanks to the excellent cleaning effect of the  high pressure washer, no chemical cleaners were needed throughout the process, achieving truly green creation.

《Kingdom of Fish》,Eibenstock Dam, Germany

Eibenstock Dam is located in Saxony, Germany. The dam was put into operation in 1982. The huge wall is 300 meters long and about 57 meters high. It is the largest drinking water reservoir in the area. Graffiti artist Klaus Dauven used a high pressure washer to partially clean the dirt accumulated on the surface of the dam over the past 30 years. The cleaned and uncleaned surfaces formed a strong contrast between light and dark, giving birth to this painting called "Kingdom of Fish".

Part of Five Cherry Blossoms

Artist Klaus Dauven used a high pressure washer to create a beautiful painting on the Matsudagawa Dam near Ashikaga, Japan. He used steam to etch floral patterns into the 12-year-old layer of dirt that had accumulated on the dam wall (228 meters long and 56 meters high). Through the contrast between the cleaned and uncleaned surfaces, five cherry blossoms appear on the dam.
